NORTHFIELD, Vt. — First-year Doug Lindensmith (Sterling Heights, Mich.) scored a pair of goals to lead the second-ranked Norwich University Cadets to a 5-0 ice hockey victory over the University of New England in a quarterfinal round game of the ECAC Men’s East Championship played Saturday evening before a crowd of 1,310 at Kreitzberg Arena.
The top-seeded Cadets (21-2-2) advance to host next weekend’s semifinal round (Friday) and championship game (Saturday). Norwich will be looking to defend its league title.
