BRUNSWICK, Maine — The eighth-seeded Colby College men’s hockey team received a masterful performance from Cody McKinney in goal with 47 saves, but Bowdoin College pulled out a 2-1 overtime win over its rival in a New England Small College Athletic Conference quarterfinal Saturday.
Bowdoin (18-5-1) will host the NESCAC Final Four next weekend, while the Mules end the season at 11-9-4.
McKinney made 25 of his 47 saves in the third period and overtime.
Wil Hartigan started the scoring off at 8:56 of the third period, but Kyle Shearer-Hardy tallied just 31 seconds later to tie the game again. Bowdoin finally scored off a face off when Jordan Lalor tallied.
